About Val

Val Margarit is an award-winning educator, speaker, author and mindfulness meditation and yoga practitioner. She has a doctorate in education, a master's in sociology and she is a lifelong student of neuroplasticity- the brain’s ability to change itself. Val’s interest in practicing mindfulness meditation stems from many years of stress, frustration, anxiety, and the loss of her parents. To cope with these challenges and regain clarity and meaning in her life, Val tried out mindfulness meditation. She immediately noticed a real psychological and cognitive difference and began studying and practicing meditation consistently along with self-reflection journaling and exercise. Seeing the benefits, she decided to use mindfulness in her classes and workshops to help others find joy, peace, health, and happiness. Seven years later mindfulness meditation has transformed her life and it’s been her mission to educate and empower others about personal growth through meditation and neuroplasticity-based workshops/courses.
